Introduction To Yoga

My first Yoga post! It has taken me a while to get to this but I'm finally doing it, so I want to do it right. So here it is, an Introduction To Yoga.

Firstly, I want to talk about the basic's of Yoga.

What is Yoga?

My simplistic point of view of yoga is: An Indian way of exercising body physically and mentally to keep it healthy. It focuses on both external and internal organs it insures total well-being rather than just muscle building.

What are the Key Concepts of Yoga?

  1. Exercising Muscles and Internal organs

  2. Breathing

  3. Mind Control

What Will I Be Focusing On?

Well there are a number of areas which can be focused on when it comes to Yoga, but in the up coming posts, I will be focusing on:

  • Warmups

  • Total Body Exercises

  • Ardha Matsyendrāsana

  • Breathing

  • Meditation

  • Balancing

Throughout these blog posts, I will share my thoughts, experiences and experiences of people who regularly do Yoga alongside images of how to do each and every thing talked about.
