The Key To Stay Healthy-Food

Eating healthy seems like torture to anyone who never does, but little do they know how good eating healthy can be. Apart from the obvious- staying fit or loosing weight- healthy eating does have other benefits like it can actually taste good.

So here are some tips from a foodie who has learnt how to stay happy and healthy.

Tips

  1. Eat the right amount of calories for how active you are. This balances the energy you consume with the energy that you use. Don't consume too much or too little otherwise you'll either put on weight or lose it, and that isn't the way to do either.

  2. Eat a variety of foods to ensure you're getting a balanced diet and so your body gets all the nutrients it needs

  3. The average male should have 2500 calories a day and the average female should have 2000 calories a day

  4. Cook food yourself as much as you can. If you eat whole foods, vegetables, whole grains, food free from additives and preservatives and unprocessed the chances of you havnig health problems are minimal.

  5. Try staying away from:

  • Fruit Juice

  • Soy Protein

  • Sugar Alcohols

  • ‘Atlantic’ Salmon + Other Farmed Fish Like Tilapia

  • Microwave Popcorn

  • Factory-Farmed Meat

  • Margarine

  • Shrimp

  • Vegetable Oils

  • Table Salt

Veggies and fruits are the key elements in food. So make sure to always include them in your meals in any form
